Footprints South Australia cover winners announced

The new edition of Footprints South Australia, the coffee table volume featuring outstanding local photography published every four years, will be launched on 30 March.
This year's photography competition was open to all, with more than 600 images received on the theme of 'Footprints - Off the beaten track'. The judging panel chose just under 350.
Of the 31 entrants, two thirds are amateur and one third professional. Winning cover shots are front cover, Les Pullen and back cover Scott Goldsmith.
A photography exhibition created from the judges choice awards will be launched at the Light Gallery @ the CCP.
Footprints SA is the popular coffee table book about South Australia with two print runs sold in 3 years.
Channel 7 are major sponsors and will run a TV ad campaign to support Footprints.
The Official launch with Leigh McClusky takes place 30 March and tickets are limited.
The Light Gallery opening and photography awards evening is on 1 April.
Both events will be part fundraising for the Animal Welfare League.

Book captures Essence of South Australia

From country settings, major sporting events to wide-eyed reptiles, Peter Maystrenko photographs "everything and anything".
A selection of the Bridgewater man's diverse array of snapshots capturing different facets of SA will be featured in the soon to be released book Footprints - Off the Beaten Track.
The book showcases the State's 12 regions, as well as categories including events, beaches, places of worship, food and wine,
through images taken by 31 SA residents and several contributing photographers.
Publisher Ashley Knoote-Parke said a photographic competition to collect images for the book attracted more than 600 entries,
with two thirds coming from amateur photographers. Read More ...
