ISSUE DATE: 11th November 2006

Footprints - South Australia is an exquisite coffee table book showcasing South Australia’s finest and is designed to promote SA’s splendour, it’s beauty, regions, national parks and wildlife, culture and heritage, wine, festivals, art, shopping, and all South Australia has to offer.

Using only the finest imagery through some of the most talented photographers; experience South Australia and be engulfed in a rich tapestry of history, sights, culture, shopping, things to do and of course wine to drink.

Footprints is a fresh concept; and the publication has been borne out of the need to promote the best SA has to offer to both local, interstate and international visitors.

Footprints sets itself apart as not just a reference publication but also a beautiful and lasting memento of visitors holidays in South Australia to be shared with family and friends, it also makes the perfect gift; every home should have one.

Footprints is published by a South Australian publishing house, tish’n enigma, which is headed up by Ashley Knoote-Parke. Says Ashley, “This book is a kaleidoscope of amazing talent, from top professional photographers to up and coming photographers. We were looking to offer a platform for our local photographic artists to showcase their ‘never been seen before - unpublished photographs’ of gorgeous Adelaide and South Australia” to the world.

Ashley’s background in media and as the owner of a business, tish’n enigma - specialising in design, marketing and now boutique publishing - enabled her to manage the book in-house and produce Footprints with local resources for design, editorial, photography and distribution.

Due to be released on the 14th December 2006, Footprints will be available in participating outlets, businesses, tourist information centres and Austrade.

LOCAL PUBLISHER LEAVES FOOTPRINT!

ISSUE DATE: 8 November 2006

As a migrant from South Africa, wanting to send books to her relatives about her new land, Ashley Knoote-Parke was disappointed to find very few books that succinctly captured South Australia in a beautiful coffee table book. After months of researching and talking to the people of Adelaide, she realised there was a gap in the market for a coffee table book that would promote South Australia, leave a lasting impression and make a great gift, a book one could take home and treasure forever.

After enlisting the assistance of key people, Ashley set about publishing Footprints 2007, a coffee table book showcasing the best of South Australia - a book that would encompass all the State’s rich tapestry of history, sights, culture, shopping, lifestyle, things to do and of course wine to drink! She was delighted with the support received from the Lord Mayor of Adelaide, Michael Harbison, South Australian Tourism, as well as the advertisers who saw the merit of such a book. She said “many were keen but wanted to see the first book – as is the case in a new publishing venture such as this, however the support we did receive was simply fantastic!”

After broadcasting to the photographic community for submissions, she was overwhelmed by the deluge of photography. “This book is a kaleidoscope of amazing talent, from top professional photographers to up and coming photographers. We were looking to offer a platform for our local photographic artists to showcase their ‘never been seen before - unpublished photographs’ of gorgeous Adelaide and South Australia” to the world.

Her background in media and as the owner of a business, tish’n enigma - specialising in design, marketing and now boutique publishing - enabled her to manage the book in-house and produce Footprints with local resources for design, editorial, photography and distribution.
